Visit of representatives from Suzhou University of Science & Technology

WIT was pleased to host a visit by one of our Chinese partner Universities, SUST, in June 2009.
SUST was visited in June 2008 by representatives on WIT who were received with great warmth and were impressed by the facilities and willingness to cooperate with Waterford. During the trade Mission in October 2008, Paul Barry, Head of Science signed MOU with SUST, witnessed by An Taoiseach.
Suzhou is a large and historic city not far from Shanghai, and has recently developed into a major centre for the IT industry. It is also an important centre for silk manufacture and for art and design.
SUST has agreed advanced entry to WIT for degrees in Computing, and Electronic Engineering.
