Counselling Service
The WIT student counselling service is provided free of charge to all registered WIT students. Counselling provides a safe environment in which students can discuss any difficulties they may be experiencing in college in a confidential and supportive setting. Some of the problems students have sought help with in the past have included:
- depression
- anxiety/panic attacks
- eating disorders
- bereavement
- rape/sexual abuse
- addiction, exam stress
- sexual identity
- family difficulties
- and many others

Opening Hours
The WIT counselling service is available during office hours Monday- Friday throughout the year. Evening appointments are offered on some days during term.
You can make an appointment by:
- Calling into the medical centre and making an appointment with the receptionist.
- Ringing the receptionist on (051) 302873
- Leaving a message on the counselling service phones (only the counsellors have access to the messages).
